For this reason, STIG, Inc. is committed to adhering to all FDA regulations and California state laws to prevent minors and anyone under the age of 21 from obtaining STIG products. To achieve this, STIG actively engages in prohibiting sales to minors by implementation of effective digital protections to ensure restriction of sales to anyone under the required age to purchase electronic cigarette products on the STIG website.

In order to achieve prevention of underage purchases, STIGPODS.COM has an established system that includes partnering with Veratad Technologies, an industry leading age verification service. For all purchases on the STIG website, a public records search is performed to confirm the legal age of the customer attempting to complete a transaction. If the system cannot verify the customers age, they will be required to submit a government issued identification. Their order will be placed on hold until a STIG Customer Service Representative can confirm all the received information is authentic.

STIG does not knowingly collect any data from anyone underage in accordance with our Children’s Privacy Policy clause included in our Terms and Conditions. If our system detects anyone under age is accessing STIGPODS.COM by submitting false information, their account will be immediately terminated. Providing false information does constitute a violation of Federal and California state law and is a punishable offence. Therefore, STIG, Inc. reserves the right to pursue legal action, if necessary.

In addition,STIG always demonstrates responsible marketing techniques that does not specifically appeal to or engage youths on any advertisements and product labeling. STIG actively follows all FDA packaging and labeling requirements, which includes nicotine addictiveness warning statements placed in a visible location on all labeling, packaging and advertisements.

Age Verification FAQs

Is it a violation of U.S law to use a fake ID, driver’s license or use someone else’s government issued identification for age verification?

Yes. Any fake identification that is possessed or displayed with the intent to commit fraud in an attempt to deceive is punishable by law. Contingent upon circumstances of the offense, an individual can be charged with either a misdemeanor or a felony, and will be subject to penalties and fines.

We at STIG will not tolerate any fraudulent activity. If it is detected that you falsified, altered or reproduced any form of a government issued identification to make a purchase on STIGPODS.COM, we will immediately cancel your order and terminate your STIG account. We have a zero tolerance policy for minors purchasing STIG products and we reserve the right to pursue legal action, if necessary.

Can you assure me that sending a photograph of my personal information through the STIG website is safe?

As an online retailer of electronic cigarette devices, we are required by law to verify that an individual is of legal age to purchase our products. We understand the apprehension in sending your identification, but we have a strict Privacy Policy. We do not share or sell your information with any business affiliates and have a secured system.

It is only required to submit your government issued identification to verify your full legal name and age. Please feel free to conceal any other information on the image you send for verification.

Why is my STIG account being flagged by the age verification system when I have ordered STIG packs before in the past?

The Age Verification System that STIG has in place does not recognize past orders as an approach to verify that you are of legal age to purchase STIG products.

We appreciate that you would comply with the process and submit the identification information required. At that point, the STIG Support Team will be happy to finalize your order.

Once this process is completed, your following purchases will be automatically approved when you use the same email address that is linked to your STIG account. If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please write to INFO@STIGPODS.COM and we will be happy to help.

I keep receiving a message stating, “You are not of legal smoking age.” Can I still attempt to put in an order or will this prohibit me from doing so?

Despite receiving this warning message, your order request will be submitted and received by the STIG Support Team. Our system will place a hold on the order, so that our team can authenticate your identity and age.

If you believe you are receiving this warning message as simply a technical error and cannot submit your order, please take a photo of your screen showing this error message and send it to INFO@STIGPODS.COM. The Support Team will attempt to correct the error and will assist you in completing your order.

Is it okay to place my order under a name that I prefer to go by or do I have to use my full legal name?

Please submit your request for an order in your full legal name that is shown on your government issued identification. The STIG Support Team is mandated by law to verify your identity and age to finalize your order. If we are unable to do so, we will have to cancel your order request.

I want to buy STIGs packs as a gift for my friend / family member. Can I place an order and purchase it, but have the package sent to an alternate address?

Yes, if the correct requirements are met. To successfully submit a request for an order intended for another recipient, age verification documents must be submitted for each individual to INFO@STIGPODS.COM. In addition to submitting age verification documents for both the purchaser and the recipient, please include the order number in your email as well.

The STIG Support Team will work towards verifying identities and age of the purchaser and the recipient. Once all the information is substantiated, the order will be finalized and you will receive a shipping notification.

The reason for this extensive process is due to California state law making it mandatory to identify every customer purchasing or receiving electronic cigarette products to prevent sales to anyone under the age of 21.

Is my military identification suitable to use for age verification?

Yes, your military identification will satisfy our age verification requirements. Please send a photo of your military identification displaying your entire name and date of birth. Once we receive this information from you, the STIG Support Team will finalize your order.

How can I be flagged for age verification and still be charged for an order?

When you have put in a request for a purchase, but are flagged to go through the age verification process, our system will accept funds from the transaction to put a hold on the product(s) you selected for purchase. This is done to avoid selling the product(s) to another individual through another order, so that once your identity and age is verified, we will be able to supply you with the products you requested.

In the case that you would like to cancel your order, the funds will reappear in your account.

Why am I not able to submit my age verification information?

When you are attempting to upload documents to the STIG website, it must be sized at 4mb or smaller. If after you have resized your documents and still cannot submit them, please contact the STIG Support Team at INFO@STIGPODS.COM. Within your email, inform us of your inability to upload your documentation, include your order number and age verification documentation.

The STIG Support Team will assist you by confirming your identity and age. You will then receive an update when the process is complete and your order will be finalized.

Parental Guidance and Education

We at STIG believe that we are contributing positively towards keeping electronic cigarettes out of the hands of underaged individuals. However, we do believe that parental guidance and education is also necessary to detract from underage usage. As a parent it is necessary to understand what signs to look for to distinguish whether or not your child may be using electronic cigarettes. In order to educate your children, it is necessary to educate yourself as to the several varieties of electronic cigarettes and the liquids they may contain.

Take the opportunity to discuss with your child the adverse consequences of nicotine usage, so that they have an understanding of what nicotine is and why it can be potentially dangerous for them. And, consider storing your ATM cards, credit cards and identification card in a place where your child will not have immediate access to them.
